Laughter burst out of Lucus the moment he caught sight of his small yawn being passed along everyone that noticed. It wasn’t something he was planning on to happen, yet it happened. He took a couple of breaths in to calm the laughter and cleared his throat, ”Sorry… that was just funny, I had to laugh. I guess my charm rubs off on people more then I expected.” , still not letting a moment to gloat about himself to pass yet again. He took another sip of his coffee while thinking over her offer on using her blades, ”I never handled any other blade besides a kitchen knife… if we go against a sandwich heartless I’ll take up your offer.”. Taking another sip of his coffee he glanced around still wondering about the quiet night, maybe she was right… maybe they decided to take a break on getting tossed around. Regaining his sword was now a bigger issue, if there was to be an attack he only had a few weak spells to hold up a match. Now being able to throw a small knife seemed more impressive then summoning the wind to push back a heartless, ”How long have you been throwing knives around… hey maybe you were part of a circus and you were the one person who threw knives at people that stood against those boards? That’d be pretty cool… unless you missed the board… …. that’d be cooler.” a smile beamed from this face imagining Alex dressed up in the circus suit throwing knives around. The idea of eating popcorn and cotton candy made Lucus finally snap out of his thoughts, in his hand he still held the cup of coffee. Drinking down whatever was left he put the empty cup down and returned his attention to Alex, ”Alright here’s the plan, we walk around the three districts and keep an eye out. Hopefully it stays quiet out till I get my sword back, if not… we do the best we can?” His voice changed to a bit uncertainty, he wasn’t feeling very confident running around without a weapon and he was pretty sure his facial expression started to show it.[/blockquote] 4E8975

She smiled at Lucus' laugh, continuing to watch the yawn move around. she almost caught it back, but the urge to yawn was swallowed by a fit of giggles at the term 'sandwich heartless.' "One with olives, I supose? Or tuna. I can't stand tuna. It'd probably scare people away with the smell. but hey," She pulled out one of her daggers, holding it loosely between her thumb and curled forefinger. it glinted menicingly beautiful in the cafe's light. "If this baby couldn't deal with a raving tuna heartless, I don't know what could."
She slipped the knife smoothly back into her belt. "Circus? Hell, no. Though I guess it would be funny..." she chuckled. "Gross, yeah. but funny. But really, I've been throwing for a few years. I found by belt, and wouldn't be happy 'till I got a knife to go in it. I was terrible at first, really. could barely hit the brick wall in front of my bed! But i'm pretty decent now."
Alex noted that he was prepared to leave, and she slurped up the last spoonfull of soup. "Sounds good to me." she said, then noticed the boy's expression. he was nervous, and she could tell. "Hey, relax. if anything happens, I know places to escape, and you can even use my knives if you have to. We'll get your sword." she said confidently, standing for emphasis. "Well, should we get started?"

Lucus stood up as well while crossing an arm across his chest to stretch it, and did the same with the other arm. She did make a good point on having to practice to gain some skill, ”Yeah it took me I think… five or six years to get a good grip on my dad’s sword. He still thinks I’m crazy for handling it. Probably am…” A smirk appeared on his face thinking back to his dad’s reaction on the younger version of himself wanting to become a swordsmen. Yeah he probably was just some crazy kid with a dangerous dream, but still today he wouldn’t try turning back. He decided to himself that tonight would be a challenge, and a perfect opportunity to straighten his other skills- magic and physical combat. ”Alright let’s go kick some ass…” He quickly left the table and headed straight for the third districts doors, though upon reaching closer to them his pace slowed down. It took a deep breath in to gain the courage to push the door open with both hands, carefully peaking in to make sure there wasn’t a sudden ambush. Yet so far the large street seemed clear, and free of unwanted shadows. So he stepped though the door filled with confidence all over again, it was if he didn’t even have the fear of being suddenly attacked- but it was all buried in his deep subconscious. He had company, so he needed to make sure his attitude remained on the cool and collected side. ”This place seems clear…. we should still keep an eye out though… I’d suggest splitting up but- I wouldn’t want you to feel pressured on your first day out with a pro.” Quickly he turned to face Alex with another cheeky smirk on his face, this guy would never let the opportunity to let his ego shine… unless he was sleeping probably.[/blockquote]
