"Hey, Adrian?" "Yeah?" "Can you go to other worlds?" "Yeah, but... well, yeah." "What're they like?" "Different. Very, Very different." "How different?" You have no idea,
He thought this as he surveyed this new planet. The creatures were... odd. long-legged birds with brooms for noses. Walking playing cards wielding spears. A castle of hearts in the distance. and maybe it was just him, but a toadstool was grinning at him. or... maybe it was the spot above the toadstool... he couldn't tell.
He quite liked this planet.
He walked through the forrest of towering mushrooms, examining the odd half-breeds and creatures that populated the odd world. maybe he could stay here a while. he wondered how many of these things would be opposed to a forked tounge and fangs, or a dangerous bloodline.

Jerek swirled into exsistance, whirling a few abnormally tall grassblades to show that he appeared seemingly from the wind, though it was really from his monor shadow use. Though Jerek disproved of the use of shadow powers extremely, you had to admit that without the heart to be corroded, it was helpful to get from world to world. As his vision focused on this new world, he noticed that he was standing on a mushroom head, looking about the below scene with intense curiousity. He could see the edge of the forest of grass, and could see rather curious species of animals walking around. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that these were normal creatures to this land, but decided to get along with his exploring before it became dark. Easily spanning the gap from the mushroom to the nearest tower of grass, Jerek landed with a cat-like stealth slightly above the mid-point of the blade, sliding down it as it bent under his weight and landing smoothly on solid ground, though a bit of dust aroused as he landed. He stifled a sneeze, which he knew would've made his heart skip a beat if it were there, and brushed off his jeans as he unbended from his coiled position to spring. Looking around from below seemed a bit harder than above, but he'd been sure to jump off in the direction he wanted to go. He was good at thinking ahead when the need called for it. So, with a slight idea of where he was, he set off towards where he saw the abnormal creatures. As he neared the edge of the tall grasses, he noticed a movement. He could tell that it wasn't one of the creatures, seeing as it looked more like a human to him. Jerek crouched lower, standing on the sides and balls of his feet, not making a sound as he walked slowly to where he had seen the other. Using the shadows to cloak him, Jay stooped behind one of the grassblades, using a swift cut of a sharp rock to make a peep hole for him to look through. It was definately a person, but it didn't look like one of the normal residents. He would have to make note that there may be another way to get to this world other than shadow portal, seeing as Alice(was that the girl's name?) accomplished it all those years ago.

Adrian stopped walking. His skin was prickling in the way it only did when darkness was near. His serpentine tongue flickered through his teeth, almost too fast to see. Yes, there, hiding behind a blade of over-sized grass behind him, was... something. A heartless? No, it would've attacked. A nobody? Possibly, but...
"Whoever's there, you can come out now." He said, not bothering to turn. If they were friendly, they'd come out. If not, he'd be ready, at least. It might not attack if it knew it had lost the element of surprise.
He brushed a lock of hair from his eyes, which just fell back in place when he moved his hand away. This made him smile slightly. Kat would always tease him about his hair. That was why he never changed it.

Jerek felt the gaze of the other boy, as that is what gender he concluded the other to be, land on where he was resting. Waiting. Watching. He could've sworn he saw something dark and forked flicked between the other's lips, much like a snake would do to taste the air. Of course, this was no the most odd thing that he had ever seen in his life, and as soon as that detail passed, he didn't mind to pay much more attention to it. Sure, that could've meant that he was a Heartless, but he wasn't worried about them. He was capable with his powers to defeat a Heartless if he needed, and it wasn't like he was completely inept on how to use his gun with his real bullets... "Whoever's there, you can come out now," Jerek heard the other speak, which confirmed that it was a he in fact. Noticing no hint of a threat in his voice, but his hand on where his holster stayed hidden beneath his tee-shirt, he stepped out from behind his hiding spot, holding both of his hands up to show he wasn't in possession of a weapon that he could use within seconds. Well, that was a lie. Jerek was a fast draw, dead-aim, and was taught to fight without mercy. Though he'd long since killed, he was used to the whole idea of the killing if the other person had the intent to kill him. He was taught in a rough town, and so it wouldn't be something abnormal to him, like all these creatures wandering around. "Nice to meet somebody normal here," Jerek said smoothly, putting his hands into his pockets, shrugging his shoulders. He was a calm fellow, as you might have collected, and rather shy and subtle when around people that he didn't much know. Of course, he wasn't aware of this, seeing as he was a Nobody, but most people would be able to predict the patterns. He was a very emotionless fellow before being a nobody, but the whole emotion thing wasn't unknown to him. He wouldn't point this out to people, however, seeing as he didn't like talking about his past all that much. Besides, he couldn't bring it back up unless it was provoked. This wasn't, however, a provoking moment. "So, what brings you here?" He continued conversationally.

Adrian eyed the boy as he emerged from his hiding spot. Odd, his skin still tingled, but the boy did not appear to be a heartless. A Nobody, perhaps? No, he doubted that. All the Nobody's he had met had been either empty shells or those egotistical "Organization 12" dudes (or whatever their names were, he didn't pay attention to them. Where'd they all get to, anyway?). Odd, how a creature of darkness was acting normal, friendly, even. Then again, that was exactly what he was doing.
"Nice to meet somebody normal here. So, what brings you here?
He offered the stranger a smile, only a small one. He had decided a long time ago that friends just made moving on harder. But for now, he could be nice, perhaps chat with the boy who had a certain subtle hint of darkness to him. This made Adrian curious, and he wanted to know, just what was he?
"Tell me about it. There's absolutely nothing normal here. A mushroom was smiling at me back there." he rolled one shoulder back, indicating the way he'd come. "And I guess I'm here for... a change of scenery, you could say." Yeah, that and the last planet came after me with pitchforks, he thought, with an ironic smile. "What about you? What brings you to this planet filled with oddities?"

Jerek nearly missed the small smile that the other gave him, and he returned it with a half-smirk. It wasn't like another boy could expect more, seeing as guys didn't smile at eachother unless they were trying to say something to the other, which Jerek didn't believe that this was the best idea for anybody to go over on a first meet. He could see a flicker of curiousity in the other boy's eyes, and he had a feeling that he knew that Jerek wasn't just your typical average teenager. He used to be, but now he was a slightly abnormal typical teenager, but nobody could pay much mind. The ones who knew him before he was a Nobody actually found this side better than the one before the acident. He supressed the memory, turning his attention back to the stranger who he had straggled across. "Tell me about it. There's absolutely nothing normal here. A mushroom was smiling at me back there," Jerek heard the other boy say, and he looked towards where the boy motioned with his shoulder. Jay could name several odd toadstools that may have been the one to smile, but he wasn't going to play "Guess What Mushroom it Was" with this boy. He wasn't really the games type anywho, but he would if he got to know somebody better. "And I guess I'm here for... a change of scenery, you could say. What about you? What brings you to this planet filled with oddities?" and at this, Jerek couldn't help but laugh. It was slightly hallow sounding, but it sounded more like a real laugh than he'd gotten to in years. "I'm here to scout out. I'd have to say, this world isn't quite as odd as my home one, but it's pretty close," Jerek said honestly, motioning with a faint guesture towards the towering blades of green grass and giant mushrooms. It wasn't as if he had to explain himself further. He knew that guys were short and blunt towards eachother, but he really couldn't help but reflect on the times before when this wasn't the case. The laughs that weren't half-hearted, strained... He couldn't help but smile at all those times before when he was full again. Of course, this wasn't the case anymore, but he wasn't going to regard the boy with his usual icy glares and voice. He was going to try and make some kind of connection. Get used to the temporary locals, he guessed.

Adrian arched an eyebrow quizzically. "Really, now? And just where is it you've come from, that can be wierder than this," he lifted an arm, making a vauge motion to their surroundings.
"If you don't mind me asking of course." he said, his hand returning to his pocket. "Some things don't need to be shared." He said simply. He eyed the tatoo on the other boy's chest. XIII. odd, very odd...

Jerek saw a flash of curiousity cross the other boy's face, and he couldn't help but give a small smirk towards the other. "Really, now?And just where is it you've come from, that can be weirder than this?" he heard the other speak, and a look of bemusement crossed Jay's features, making him look almost human as he did. It wouldn't be often that somebody would see this side of Jerek, of course, but most people didn't talk to him. He was a father curious type, he concluded about this other, but he wasn't going to just go around and pretend that he hadn't made this observation. "If you don't mind me asking, of course. Some things don't need to be shared," but Jerek waved his hand dismissively. This was hardly the most intrusive question that he had been asked in his life. "Have you ever been down the streets of Halloween Town?" Jerek said calmly, his voice still holding a tone of whimsical longing at his past. "Some may say this is weirder, but I'm used to the weird factor, I guess," he said, looking at his surroundings musingly. He knew how many worlds there were out there, and that this one was a bit out of the ordinary hardly made it weird. It would take something rather bizzare to make him call a world weird. Jerek almost missed the, was the world wary to be used?, glance that the boy had as he looked at his tattoo on his chest. Jerek shrugged his shoulder, making the edge of his shirt fall in front of it so that the boy wouldn't have to wonder about it. The only thing Jerek would ever call odd is his own life, after all...

Adrian thought a moment. Halloween Town... That sounded nice. He'd have to check it out next. Might be a nice place for him...
"No, never been there myself." He said, slightly interested. "Sounds... Interesting. Just where is it?" He asked. He noticed how the boy Moved his shoulder, allowing his shirt to cover tha tatoo. shame. He was interested in it, but had missed his chance to ask. Clearly the boy didn't want him to know something about it, or maybe he just didn't feel like explaining.
There was something else odd about this boy. Adrian, being a Bassilisk, which has many lizard or snake-like qualities, could often sense emotions in people. The boy made all the same facial expressions as a human, but there were no feelings to go with them. very strange. Perhaps this boy really was a Nobody. That would explain the XIII on his chest. 13. wasn't there an organization... 12, or something? maybe it got a new member. He didn't keep up with the workings of Nobodys, unless a number of them were attacking, of course.

Jerek nodded as the boy said that he'd never been to Halloween Town. Figures, most people don't even know about it. That and Christman Town, which bothers me more than anything...
Jerek thought to himself, before he heard the guy speak. "Sounds... Interesting. Just where is it?" and Jerek smirked. Most people were curious about the town, and it could even be fun in the beginning. But many things happened there that would make you regret ever deciding to place you foot there. Obviously, Jerek didn't enjoy his times back in his home town, but at least he was talking about it again. A Nobody didn't have emotions, but they did seem rather good at holding grudges against people. It was a walking contradiction. Jerek could sense a bit of curiousity from the boy, and he gave smug expression towards him. "You're thinking about something... Mind sharing it with you're company?" Jay asked curiously, though his tone was like that a teacher would use when somebody got caught passing notes and was asked to read it in front of the whole entire class. It might've brought back memories if his life had ever been something normal like that. He was still uncomfortable with his Nobody being, though it had probably been a few years now, he wasn't keeping track of time. The whole thing without emotions bothered him, but he was a very emotional individual before, so it would be easier for him to act like he did have emotions. His memories were powerful.

Adrian Shot a meaningful glance at the place where the other's tatoo lay, hidden beneath the shirt. "Just curious. You're not human, are you? It's perfectly fine either way, I've learned not to judge by species. If I did, it would be mighty hypocritical of me." He said straightly. Best to figure out what he was now, than have to skirt around it the entire conversation.
"I would personally guess a Nobody, though I've been wrong before. And Heartless don't usually have the ammount of self controll you've shown." he said airily, as if discussing the weather. he didn't normally discuss the weather, it didn't intrest him. but he guessed if the weather was interesting, this would be how he would discuss it.

Jerek saw the stranger look towards where he had hidden his tattoo, and spoke. "Just curious. You're not human, are you?" the other said, and Jerek smirked and nodded. "It's perfectly fine either way, I've learned not to judge by species. If I did, it would be mighty hypocritical of me," the other said levelly, and Jay gave a nod. Judging by race, species, and gender was stupid. Just because somebody was a different color skin, or acted different than you, or was just the opposite gender didn't make them more of less an opponent to you. Jerek knew this by heart, even though it was gone, from before he became a Nobody. Even before the accident, he knew this like the back of his hand. It was part of his morals... "Come on, Clare, hurry up!" a laughing voice called back that had once belonged to Jerek when he was only seven. He slowed his run and turned around to see Clare lingering at one of the graves in the cemetary. "Clare, are you alright?" he said, his voice full of sympathy, as he walked over to the right shoulder of his friend. As he neared, the girl stood up and gave him a bright smile. "You know, we run through these fields every day, but we never slow down to look at the grave stones. Did you know this is where your grandfather is buried?" Clare said curiously. "No, way. Really?" he replied pushing her away so that he could see. "Awesome, so let's get going. Unless you can't keep up," Jerek said taughtingly, standing.
Clare stood up beside him, giving him a challenging smirk. "You wish you could beat me, Jerek-sama," she called as she took off. Jerek, not being one to be defeated, easily caught up with her and passed her. "Ha! I'm not going to be beat by a little girl!" he cried back, his voice defiant as he hurdled over one of the gravestones. Suddenly, it seemed that Clare was right up there with him, and passing him easily. "Never underestimate a girl, Jay-san," She said as she landed on the finish line with him at least ten feet behind him. "How'd you beat me, Clary? You've never done that before," he said, breathing heavily. "You don't have the right to judge people by anything, Jay. You'll just lose." To this day, Jerek didn't know how Clare had beat him, but it had stuck with him, and from then on, he'd never lost a race. His little moment made him almost miss it as the stranger continued. "I would personally guess a Nobody, though I've been wrong before. And Heartless don't usually have the amount of self control you've shown." he said conversationally. Jerek smirked. "I wouldn't say there's much difference between a Nobody and human, but your first guess was correct. Congradulations, you're a good guesser, but I'm not from the Organization," he said calmly. Then, something struck him as odd. As Jerek adjusted the fringe of his shirt to cover his gun a bit easier. "What did you say your name was, again?"

The boy listened to the other, nodding. "I'm good at determining speies. most of the time anyway. Glad to hear you're not an Organization member. I never really liked those guys."
He smirked. "I didn't say, but it's Adrian. Yours?" he made a small motion with his hand, inviting the other to share their name. Adrian noticed that the boy tugged at his shirt a bit. perhaps annother tatoo he didn't want Adrian to see? he didn't care that much.

Jerek smirked as the boy said that he was good at determining species most of the time. It was fairly easy, once you got the hang of it, he knew. Heartless and Nobodies, depending on the level and powers of the Heartless, could get hard to tell the difference from. Humans and Nobodies were easier, as long as the Nobody wasn't newly made. Then came dark users and light users, which made it even harder to tell if somebody was a Nobody or just being slowly corrodded by the darkness. Jerek guessed that it was the upside of being a Nobody since you couldn't have your heart torn apart by darkness, but at least he was trying to avoid something that could possibly happen if he used the darkness too much. As the other said that he was glad he wasn't in the Organization, Jerek gave a scoffing sort of sound. "I may not have been in Org. Thirteen, but I was apart of another Organization that would make those guys look like kittens. It probably would've been better if I was in that one," he said, his tone calm though there was a hidden venom in it that came about when he talked about his past. Before he could dwell too much, the other introduced himself as Adrian and asked for his name. "I'm Jerek, but I guess you could call me Jay, but any other varients will be ignored and give you no response what-so-ever," Jay said briefly, holding out his hand as if for a shake. He always seemed to be one for formalities on a first meet, at the least.

Adrian raised an eyebrow. Kittens, huh? He couldn't be sure if that was an acomplishment or not. He'd met a boy named Demyx, once, a member of that organization. He'd seemed sort of... odd. not the best at fighting, that one. but they weren't all like him, he assumed.
"Jerek, huh? Cool." He nodded, and looked at the boy'd hand a minute before shaking it. "So, how long've you been a Nobody, hm?"
