Jerek saw the look of surprise on his face as he said that they
were like kittens. Okay, he'd probably overexaderated a little bit,
but at the time, it was probably good to point out that just
because he wasn't attacking and was on terms of peace, he
wasn't to be underestimated. He wasn't trying to enhance fear,
however, and knew that he shouldn't continue on that subject. It
was long since he'd been a menace to all that crossed his path,
and the thought made him shiver inwardly at all the people that
he had betrayed. It wasn't like he could just forget about his
past and move on. Much of it had already faded, but his past
directly before becoming a Nobody, however, would probably be
engraved into his skull until he had the misfortune of dying.
The other boy shook Jerek's hand and the other said Jerek's
name again, probably to make sure he heard right. As he pulled
his hand away, it was a bit surprising as the boy asked how long
he had been a Nobody. "I really don't know. Time is a
meaningless thing, once you're technically already dead," he said
simply, looking at the boy musingly. "But, what exactly are you?
You don't seem human, but you're definately not a Nobody or a
Heartless," Jerek said quietly, and then realized that he had
forgot something else to say. "Unless, you don't want to talk
about it, I really don't mind," Jerek finished quickly, and all his
attention seemed to focus on trying to figure out the boy was,
but another part of his was wandering over random possibilities.
