Sora still wields his trusty Keyblade, after so many years coming to terms with its initial decision to choose him as its…could he really be called a master? No, wielder seems most appropriate. Regardless, that same Keyblade, dubbed the “Kingdom Key,” A very simplistic blade in its design (at least compared to some of its counterparts), but not the bit less formidable than any other, Sora and his Keyblade have fought side-by-side for years now. It still possesses that golden base, almost square in shape, but with a little extra design, the silver keychain that holds the silhouette of the king connected to the base. The keyblade, with that same silver shaft that still glistens, spotless even in the light, despite having slain countless foes, has not changed. The handle is a bit worn from its extensive use, but not truly noticeable unless it is gripped. The edge of the blade juts out from one side, and the cuts in the metal resemble the same crown which Sora wears as a necklace (odd, huh?). Aside from the slight wear-and-tear on the handle, the blade looks as new as If Sora had gotten it not two days ago.

History:
As a child, Sora’s life started off rather pedestrian, not unlike most other children who lived in the world he called home. At a very young age he met a boy a year his senior, Riku by name, and the two became fast friends. They would soon begin to spend time together, playing on an island which much resembled a large playground, with wooden forts and sheds, walkways, trees to climb, and just places to release a child’s pent-up energy. For a while it was nothing short of a normal life for Sora. However, when Sora was four years old he made the acquaintance of two traveling Keyblade Wielders. He never spoke with one of them, having only seen him wandering around his island home; while the other told him that he should protect his best friend, Riku, if he were to fall into the hands of darkness, which, of course, he would agree to; though the validity of this promise would not be seen until he was much older.
One day, while Sora and Riku were relaxing on the beach, Sora suddenly began to feel sad, yet was unable to give a reason why. This prompted Riku to suggest that perhaps someone from another world who had connected to Sora was feeling sad, and perhaps even have been trying to reach out to him. Sora acknowledged Riku’s insight and closed his eyes, only to find himself at the Station of Awakening, a strange place he had never before seen. Here he would encounter a lost heart. Having lost its path, the heart needed to return to slumber, though it was reluctant to do so. Instead, it asked Sora if he might take it in to become part of his heart. Sora readily accepted, saying that as long as he could make the heart happy by doing it this favor, he was more than willing to. After their two hearts were merged, Sora’s mind returned to his place on the beach alongside Riku.
About a year after this strange encounter with a wandering heart, a mysterious little girl named Kairi came to the islands from a different place. She was adopted by the mayor and Sora and Riku quickly became friends with her. Later, Sora discovered a small, hidden cave on the island with Riku. They searched this, “Secret Place” while discussing Kairi and the strange meteor storm that had recently hit the islands. They found an out-of-place door, with no handle, at the back of the cave and, because they could not open it, left it alone; Sora unaware at the time that Riku would see their world's Keyhole on that door before departing from the Secret Place
Sora and his friends Riku and Kairi lived in their isolated little home for years after these strange occurrences, with nothing else truly spectacular happening to their islands. Soon their boredom began to morph, leading to a wonder of what might lie beyond their small world, beyond the horizon, if you will. They decided they would build a raft to sail to other lands, just the three of them. All seemed to be normal until, that is, the day when they started construction. Sora dozed off on the beach as he had done numerous times before; only this time something happened. As he dozed he began to have an odd dream wherein he wandered through a dark realm and fought a massive dark creature, all of which was greatly confusing to the now-young man of fourteen. He was awakened by Kairi and forgot about the strange dream for the time being, becoming too preoccupied by the raft’s construction.
However, the night before he and his friends were to set sail, a storm ravaged the island along with a strange dark force. Sora would find that Riku had succumb to the force, claiming that he was not afraid of the darkness this force so clearly embodied; leaving Sora to try, then fail, to save his friend from the darkness. However, during the storm, Sora first discovered his potential as a Keyblade wielder, summoning the power of the strange weapon dubbed the “Kingdom Key” to battle against the Heartless that had invaded his home. He battled the massive Heartless that he had fought once before, in his dream, defeating it again. But, Sora could not relish in his victory, being immediately swept off the island and thrown into the Corridors of Darkness, which would spit him out in a place he would come to know as, “Traverse Town.”
In Traverse Town, Sora would find that he had been thrust into the midst of a battle which was, until then, completely alien to him. A rather well-informed man called Leon would explain to him that he was to become the target of these creatures he had run into during the fight for his island. He would find that wave after endless wave of them would come at him, and that he had to protect himself, the “Key” he now possessed, and the worlds, every one of them. Here in Traverse Town Sora would run into (almost literally) Donald Duck and Goofy, the Royal Court Magician and Captain of the Royal Guard of Disney Castle, respectively. Both were under orders from The King of that Castle. The pair was searching for two things: a mysterious 'key' and a man called Leon. Following a battle against a rather strange Heartless, Donald and Goofy chose to accompany this boy who held the key they assumed they were to find. Sora, though burdened by these new responsibilities, was still intent on finding his friends, as were Donald and Goofy in searching for their king.
Sora would discover, while still in Traverse Town, that Riku too had made it off the island, and was also searching for Kairi, though neither of them were able to find her to that point. Maleficent, the one who had fished Riku from the darkness, saw her chance and used her dark magic to poison Riku's mind against Sora, claiming that his befriending Donald and Goofy was a betrayal toward Kairi and himself. With this false knowledge, he would leave the three to their business, and journey out to find Kairi on his own. As he departed from Traverse Town Sora learned that his key could do many things more than make a great blunt object with which to fight off Heartless. He found that it could lock and unlock most things, much like a skeleton key (which it ironically resembled). This lock-and-unlock ability also branched into locking and unlocking the doors to the “hearts” of each of the worlds he would come to know.
Much would happen to Sora and his new companions as they went world-hopping for a time. On each world Sora would find new friends, enemies, and Heartless; but to his dismay, would not find his old friends or a way back to his island. Still, he pressed on, locking the hearts of each world as he went, in order to protect them from the Darkness. He would travel to some strange, exciting, or simply off-the-wall places, and meet equally as diverse populace on each. It was not until he landed in a place known as “Neverland” that he would come into contact with his friends again; though not on the best of terms. While in Neverland he would find Riku who, unlike himself, had found Kairi. Well, her body at least. Holding this over Sora, Riku would begin an attempt to break Sora, blaming him for Kairi’s current state, and scolding him for not working hard enough to try and find her. Heartbroken to hear these words from his best friend, and seeing the state his friend (his crush) was in, he entered a state of confusion. He would quickly regain his strong resolve, however, about the time he realized he could fly (glide). After sealing the heart of Neverland Sora would continue to go after Riku, not content with the answers he was getting.
Upon reaching Hollow Bastion, Riku (now almost completely consumed by darkness) confronted Sora, and took back the Keyblade which he claimed was supposed to be his from the beginning. Donald and Goofy, forced to obey their orders from the king, abandon Sora in order to “stay with whoever has the Keyblade.” Now alone, Sora found a kindred spirit, and source of inspiration, in a strange creature he found on Hollow Bastion: The Beast. Together with Beast, Sora fought through the Heartless-infested Castle and made his way to a confrontation with Riku. The two fought, but Riku made quick work of Sora; the young man being no match with his wooden sword (go figure). However, as Riku looked to deliver the final blow and kill Sora , Donald and Goofy betrayed their orders and rejoined their friend. With this newfound support Sora was able to find greater strength in his heart. This would return the Keyblade to Sora; his heart, now fortified with the friendship of Donald and Goofy, proving to be stronger than Riku's. Enraged, Riku would try and continue his fight against Sora, only to be defeated. He would retreat further into the castle.
After this, Sora and his friends find Maleficent, the assumed ring leader of the bad of evil they had encounter on the other worlds. Sora defeats the wicked sorceress, only to have the darkness of her heart overflow. Unlocked by Riku and his new keyblade, the darkness would spill forth, transforming her into a black, fire-breathing dragon. Faced with this new challenge, Sora would defeat her once again and the Heartless would swallow what was left of her corroded heart. Further into the depths of Hollow Bastion, Sora found and fought Ansem, the supreme seeker of darkness and Kingdom Hearts itself. Unfortunately, he would have to do it through Ansem’s new puppet: Riku. Furious at his weakness, Riku would open heart further to darkness and allows himself to be possessed by Xehanort's Heartless (Ansem). Ansem, now living through and controlling Riku's body, making him mortal once again, challenged Sora. Although it was difficult for him to face down his best friend, Sora emerged victorious in the end.
It was during this escapade that Kairi was revealed to be one of the Seven Princesses of Heart, seven princesses whose hearts were pure (possessing absolutely no darkness). Though it was the plan of Ansem to use the hearts of these seven princesses to open the door to Kingdom Hearts, he found he could not; this because Kairi’s heart was not in her body. No, it was inaccessible, lying within Sora, together with his own heart. In order to return her heart and wake her up, Sora found he had to use the Keyblade of People's Hearts (Riku’s dark Keyblade) to remove both Kairi’s heart, and his own, in turn sacrificing his humanity and becoming a Heartless. This (he would later discover) leading to the birth of Roxas and Naminé, the Nobodies of Sora and Kairi (respectively). When he managed to reunite with Kairi, Donald, and Goofy (after a brief stint as a Shadow), Kairi hugged him, knowing instinctively that it was him. Her light would return him to his human form, to the joy of the others.
After regrouping in Traverse Town, Sora knew he needed to return to Hollow Bastion to seal the Keyhole, while also trying to reclaim Riku from Ansem’s clutches. Sora received Kairi’s lucky charm (Oathkeeper's keychain) after he insists that she should remain behind, to keep her safe (though he jokes that she would be in his way). Sora, Donald, and Goofy return to Hollow Bastion and seal its Keyhole after a battle with a powerful Heartless (Behemoth). The six Princesses of Heart still left in Hollow Bastion then inform him of a “new” darkness which was approaching, prompting the trio to travel to a place know as “End of the World”, the "Heartless" of all the worlds that fell into darkness, where they would have a monstrous battle against Ansem, still in control of Riku’s body.
At the climax of the long battle against Xehanort's Heartless, as he slowly faded, called forth Kingdom Hearts, asking it to fill him with the power of Darkness. Sora proclaimed that Kingdom Hearts was really light and upon opening the doors to Kingdom Hearts, Xehanort's Heartless was destroyed by said light. However, Heartless began to swarm inside of the door and Sora, Donald, and Goofy rushed to close its doors. As they attempted to close the door Riku and King Mickey appeared on the other side of the door. Together King Mickey and Sora sealed Kingdom Hearts from both sides: with Sora's Keyblade from the realm of light and Mickey's Keyblade from the realm of darkness. However, due to their willingness to remain behind, Mickey and Riku became trapped behind the door as it closed. Riku spoke to Sora one last time before being sealed within Kingdom Hearts.
"Take care of her" (referring to Kairi).
As the worlds began to heal, restoring themselves, Sora and Kairi meet, Kairi on a platform of sand that is drifting away and Sora on the edge of the broken path which led to Kingdom Hearts. Kairi and Sora embrace, but are slowly separated as the bar of sand Kairi stands on begins to head back to reform into their islands. Sora would promise to return to her as soon as he found Riku and King Mickey, and with that they were separated once more.
After being separated from his friends, Sora found himself wandering down a long, meandering path tread through grassy hills, looking almost like a meadow. Still with Donald and Goofy, Sora and his friends immediately began looking for a way to find Riku and King Mickey. As they reach a crossroad they decided it would be a god time to call it a night. However, during the night, a mysterious man in a long, black, hooded cloak appears and speaks to Sora
"Along the road ahead lies something you need. However in order to claim it you must lose something that is dear to you."
The man would suddenly disappear, leaving Sora with many questions and only one path to follow—the other one disappearing along with the mysterious man. The trio agreed to follow the path, leading them to a mysterious castle which they would come to know as “Castle Oblivion.” Sora chose to enter the looming structure, in hopes of possibly picking up some clues as to the whereabouts of their friends. Unfortunately, all he would discover was, as they ascend the floors of the fortress, they were beginning to lose their memories; becoming progressively more uncertain of what they were truly after and the purpose for why they were in that castle. They would discover that even Jiminy (Cricket)’s Journal was beginning to lose its pages, each seeming to vanish as their memories did.
Little did Sora know, his memories (and the memories of his friends) were being manipulated by a mysterious organization that sought to capture and manipulate Sora, to use him to their own nefarious ends. To accomplish this goal, they employed Naminé, a young “witch” who could rearrange the chains of memories in a person's mind and create new links between them. In order to make Sora forget Kairi, Naminé was told to replace his memories of her with herself (This done in part because she was Kairi's Nobody and so was unable to erase her (Kairi) from Sora's memories.) While he journeyed through the castle, an internal conflict between the members of the Organization led to several encounters between Sora and “Riku”, whose memories of Kairi had also been replaced with ones containing Naminé. The trio's uncertainty continued to build to a point where they ended up in Twilight Town, a place that Sora had been fairly certain that he had never been in, and thus should not have existed in his memory.
Organization member IV—Vexen— revealed to Sora that the town was a place that existed on, “the other side of Sora's heart.” Unfortunately, he was eliminated by fellow member, Axel, before he could continue his explanation of the current situation Sora was in. Axel would end up betraying Marluxia, the appointed lord of Castle Oblivion, revealing that Marluxia and Larxene, the two newest members of the Organization, intend to use Sora to overthrow the Organization. Axel then manipulates Naminé, convincing her to do what she believed to be right. Donald and Goofy tried to reason with Sora, attempting to calm him down and make him think. Unfortunately, he was far too stubborn to listen, and instead chose to depart from their company and continue on his own.
Upon entering the portion of his memories linked to his home, Destiny Islands, Sora finally comes into contact with and is relieved to have found Naminé, who would try to make him remember who was truly important to him. After taking another look at the lucky charm he believed to have been given to him by Naminé, it returned to its original form, Naminé taking on the temporary appearance of Kairi. Sora escaped the memory-based Destiny Islands and confronted Naminé. She would reveal that she never existed in Sora's memories; that she had been replacing the person who was most important to him, with images of herself. Riku appeared once again to confront Sora, only to be defeated by Sora another time. When Sora attempted to help the injured Riku, he attacked Sora and took the upper hand. Being left with no other choice, Naminé used her abilities to “break” Riku's memories (severing the chains between the memories in his heart), which caused him to collapse. Larxene appeared, attempting to eliminate Sora and the unconscious Riku, while revealing to Sora that the Riku he had been encountering was not really the Riku he knew, but instead was actually a Replica, created by Vexen before his death.
Larxene was about to complete her objective, taking out Sora, only to be thwarted by Donald and Goofy, who showed up in time to save him. Although Sora had been a jerk, choosing to go on his own and ignoring his friends, they quickly forgave him and stated that they would always stay together. Together the three defeated Larxene and Sora forgave a regretful and sorrowful Naminé for what she had done to him. She promised to restore the memories of the trio once they reached the 13th Floor of Castle Oblivion, where Marluxia was waiting for them to arrive. Meanwhile, Axel was attempting to destroy Marluxia himself (as that was his assignment from the Organization) but Marluxia used Naminé as a human shield, saving himself. Sora stepped in soon after and defeated Axel, unaware of his intentions. After Sora finally caught up to Marluxia he would order Naminé to completely erase Sora's memory, destroying him and giving Marluxia the ability to make Sora his puppet. Naminé refuses, but Sora orders her to do so, thinking that it was all that could be done in order to protect her from Marluxia's wrath.
Fortunately, the Riku Replica, its true memories returned after Naminé destroyed his falsified ones, arrived and saved Naminé before she was able to carry out Marluxia’s (and Sora’s) orders. After the group defeated Marluxia, it was shown that the Marluxia they had faced was nothing more than a clone; the true Marluxia waiting beyond a looming doorway. Without a second thought Sora, Donald, and Goofy stepped forward, Sora telling the Replica to remain behind with Naminé. They entered the new dimension and took on the powerful (flower) warrior. After a grueling battle came to a close, Sora and his companions escaped through the same doorway and closed the doors behind them. Acting quickly, Sora decided to seal the door, trapping what was left of Marluxia within, that he would never escape.
Once Marluxia was defeated, Naminé asked Sora (and co.) to step into Memory Pods which would assist in rearranging their memories, allowing them to be reconnected, the way they were before their adventures inside Castle Oblivion. Unfortunately, the price was losing all of the memories of Castle Oblivion, and any she had created. She also informs him that the process will take some time, during which Sora, Donald, and Goofy would sleep, their memories slowly restored. While they knew that they would forget Naminé, Sora promised her that while she was forgotten, she would remain somewhere in his heart, never to be lost. And when he woke up, they would become friends “for real.” Just before he was put to sleep, Naminé informed him that a few of his memories had become unreachable, asking him then to remember Kairi, as his memory of her was “the light that would bring them all back.” Sora then used most all of his power to remember Kairi before falling into a deep sleep, where he would remain for quite some time.
What turned out to be one year later, Sora awoke in the basement of the Old Mansion located in Twilight Town, his former memories restored, although he was not able to recall any of the happenings from his time in Castle Oblivion. As he awoke he was greeted by Donald and Goofy, and a drowsy Jiminy Cricket. Unbeknownst to Sora and his friends, prior to awakening, he came into contact with his Nobody (other), Roxas, who came (somewhat unwillingly) to see him; and, in the end, would fuse with him. Deciding to explore this strange place they found themselves in, Sora (and co.) headed off to the Mysterious Tower, directed there by none other than the King, who was in a serious hurry at the time. Upon their arrival they would come face-to-face with an old annoyance of Donald, Goofy, and the rest of Disney Castle: Pete. Having been there to attempt to turn the master of the tower into a Heartless, he was thwarted while also being informed by the trio that his master (Maleficent) had been defeated some time ago. Upset, he sent his Heartless on Sora while taking his leave from the tower.
It was at this tower that Sora would obtain a new set of clothing, having outgrown his old attire during his slumber. Given the outfit by the three fairy companions of Master Yen Sid, the new outfit enabled Sora to reach new levels of power and abilities unique to him. The source of the clothing's magic, he was told, was linked to his heart, which was, similarly, connected to everyone Sora had befriended to that point, including Donald and Goofy. Sora prepared to leave, somewhat perplexed by Yen Sid’s reference to him as the "Key that connects everything" (Which, of course, is a reference to the shock-wave effect experienced by all of Sora’s friends during the time that Naminé was manipulating/deleting his memories). Sora would depart from the tower and embark on a second phase of his journey (began during Kingdom Hearts I). Prompted and directed by Yen Sid, Sora became aware of the new creatures, called Nobodies, who became the new threat to the worlds while he was away. With his new knowledge he found that the biggest adversaries to his updated mission were the members of a group of intelligent Nobodies know as the “Organization XIII.”
Sora would find himself revisiting worlds he had been once before, rekindling friendships (and hatreds) all along the way. The trio would find themselves in a few new places as well; and, of course, Sora did what Sora does, and fostered friendships with many of the peaceful inhabitants of these new worlds. All throughout their struggle against the Organization, Sora expressed his determination to bring Riku back home with him to Destiny Islands, even though he was continually met with disappointing dead-end after dead-end in respect to information on his lost friend. His goals, unfortunately, became more complicated when Sora was informed that Kairi was kidnapped by a renegade Organization member named Axel. Pete (still working for the resurrected with, Maleficent) and Organization XIII cause Sora much strife in many (if not all) the worlds he visits. Simply adding to the problem, (as Sora saw it) even King Mickey refused to divulge any information regarding Riku. Another of Sora’s confusions and frustrations came from members of the Organization XIII continuously addressing him as “Roxas”—even after he clearly states his name is “Sora” not “Roxas.”
Sora, with the help of some new friends from Twilight Town (Hayner, Pence, and Olette) and the Organization’s renegade member (Axel), managed to find the route that lead to the World That Never Was (the stronghold of the Organization). Once there, Sora and his companions discovered that the Organization was in the final stages of creating Kingdom Hearts, which they accomplished by gathering the countless hearts from the Heartless slain by Sora's Keyblade. Soon after entering the world however, upon entering the area surrounding “Memory's Skyscraper,” Sora's group is ambushed by a group of Samurai Nobodies. Suddenly Sora finds himself on a Platform of Awakening, forced into a fight with a member of the Organization (Roxas). Sora asks who Roxas is, but is met with a cryptic answer.
"Someone from the dark." Roxas then asks Sora, "Tell me...Tell me why he picked you!”
Still confused, Sora is attacked by Roxas.
As the fight progressed, Roxas finds himself in the air above Sora. After viewing the images on the floor of the station (a picture of Riku, Kairi, Donald and Goofy), Roxas understood the answer.
"I see, that's why,” then continuing the fight without skipping a beat.
At one point Sora had the Keyblade knocked from his hands by Roxas. And, as he attempted to retrieve it, Roxas tossed one of his blades at it, pinning it to the floor. Sora, looking to have been defeated, reached out in desperation for his Keyblade, to which it disappeared and reappeared in his hand. Roxas standing speechless, in a state of shock and confusion, Sora struck quickly, gaining him the upper hand in the battle. Ultimately, Sora's control over his Keyblade gave him the edge over Roxas, who collapsed, defeated. Before disappearing, he revealed his face to Sora and as he and the scenery began to disappear, Roxas admitted
"You make a good other."
Without warning, Sora finds himself back with Donald and Goofy, who inform him that while he disappeared, they had to fight some Nobodies. Without any other conversation on the matter, they continue towards the massive Castle of the Nobodies.
The group would meet up with the King again, and after their reunion, the group stormed the Castle in search of their friends. They would meet with Saïx in the Hall of Empty Melodies, who muses that Kingdom Hearts is near completion, and it only needed "one more dose from the Keyblade Bearer." With that he summoned hordes of Shadows and took his leave, deciding he needed to pursue Maleficent and Pete who were also present within the castle. The Heartless overpowered Sora by sheer numbers, but are destroyed by a rain of (laser) bullets. It was revealed that the bullets came from none other than the Organization's number II, (The Freeshooter) Xigbar. After a battle in which Sora dispatched (killed) the sniper, he found Kairi and Riku (who resembled Xehanort's Heartless for reasons unknown to Sora) who were also battling swarms of Heartless. Happily reunited, the friends know they have no time to relish in their meeting, as there was still work to be done.
Sora, Riku, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy make their way into the “Proof of Existence” of the Organization, in which there were headstones (or so they resembled) which possessed the Organization titles of each of their members. The group entered one of the odd passageways from the room, only to encounter Luxord, Organization XIII's Number X, on the other side. Although Luxord trapped the group in cards (all save Sora), Sora still managed to defeat the Gambler of Fate. The group returned to the Proof of Existence, entering the second of two pathways, taking them to the Addled Impasse, where Saïx was waiting, staring up at the moon. Saïx pointed out that only Roxas could have made it that far in one piece and Sora became angry (and confused) and prepared to fight. Saïx blew Riku and Kairi away before taking Sora on. Tapping into his connection with the moon, Saïx battled Sora, putting him through one of his most rigorous battles to that point. Once Saïx was defeated, Riku finally explained to Sora who this “Roxas” was. Riku told Sora that Roxas was his Nobody, created back in Hollow Bastion after their bout (when he released his and Kairi’s hearts from his body).
With the mysteries of Roxas' identity finally solved, the group continued on their way. Fighting their way through the winding paths of the Castle That Never Was, Sora, Riku and the others encounter King Mickey and DiZ, now revealed to be the former ruler of Hollow Bastion (Radiant Garden), Ansem the Wise, who was trying to absorb Kingdom Hearts into his machine and encode it as data to prevent Xemnas from accessing it. Xemnas appeared to see who was tampering with Kingdom Hearts and found his old teacher (and the others). Xemnas finally reveals to Sora and the others his true plan, to make a Kingdom out of the hearts released by the Heartless; a created world that he would then rule. Soon Kingdom Hearts would prove too strong for Ansem's machine, and with his final words (before disappearing), he explained to Sora that,
“the rest is up to you, and to Roxas.” He then adds quickly, “Roxas, I doubt you can hear me but, I am sorry.”
With that the machine exploded, taking Ansem with it. The energy released in the explosion destroyed a good deal of Kingdom Hearts and even reverted Riku to his true form (removing the darkness from him *essentially*).
Near the pinnacle of the Castle, Heartless appeared in vast hordes. Maleficent and Pete suddenly appeared, opting to remain behind in order to fend off the Heartless while the party heads toward where Xemnas would be waiting for them. When they reached the Altar of Naught, the pinnacle of the Castle, they confronted Xemnas, the leader of Organization XIII. After a short conversation with the Nobody, Sora found himself taken by Xemnas to the front of Memory's Skyscraper for a solo battle. After an intense fight, Sora defeated Xemnas and was transported back to his friends. However, Xemnas appeared yet again, despite having been defeated, and, despite the protests of the group, entered and absorbed Kingdom Hearts. The group would find that luck was on their side though, as by the will of the worlds a door to Kingdom Hearts was made. Sora, Riku and the King opened the door with their Keyblades, breaking the barrier separating them from Xemnas. The entire group would enter, but Sora, Riku, Donald and Goofy became separated from King Mickey and Kairi I as the grip vas undecided on whether or not to more forward or take a step back from an attack sent forth by Xemnas. With Kairi and the King locked outside the door, Sora and his friends would have to move forward without them.
Inside, Kingdom Hearts they discover that the Organization’s Superior fashioned it to resemble the World That Never Was. They charged through quickly, arriving at Xemnas’ location ready to battle him. After taking out Xemnas’ creation (ship?), the team finds Xemnas clad in armor and using the tactics of the rest of the Organization to fight them. After they believed to have defeated the Organization leader and were returned to the Altar of Naught, they would arrive to find the castle falling apart, being sucked into the darkness. After Riku’s failed attempt to tap into the darkness (which was removed from him) a path mysteriously opens (thanks to Naminé) and the group hurries through. As Sora, Riku, and Kairi prepare to enter, Sora hears a strange voice before watching Roxas emerge from his body, wishing to speak with Naminé before she fused with Kairi. Roxas and Naminé stand facing their true selves, and finish the conversation they had started back when they first met. Roxas then informs Sora that whenever he and Kairi are together, Roxas and Naminé would be together as well. Naminé then joined with Kairi to complete herself, while Roxas returned to Sora's body, making Sora whole again. Just as Kairi enters the corridor it begins to close, and Sora and Riku must watch as she disappears, along with their only way home.
Xemnas reappears, attacking from the Captain's Seat of an enormous Dragoon Nobody (again…ship?). After boarding a small vessel the two Keyblade Wielders attack and destroy the giant Nobody (ship?). After grounding the ship Sora and Riku went after Xemnas, once again clad in that same armor and in the “Captain’s Seat.” After yet another defeat of the persistent Nobody, Sora found Riku and himself in a strange dimension, now to face off against Xemnas in a new, more powerful form. During the struggle, Riku is injured by Xemnas striking at both with his Ethereal Blades. Falling through the air on the brink of defeat, Sora takes up Riku's Keyblade and goes after Xemnas, slashing at him with both weapons. Returning to Riku, Sora offers the blade to him and the two hold it, sending a bolt of energy at Xemnas, finishing him off. Without being given any chance to relish in their victory or take a rest, an innumerous number of Nobodies suddenly appear, forcing Sora and Riku to fight through them. They finish the creatures off, only to have Riku collapse from his injury earlier (thanks to Xemnas). Sora helped Riku walk, and the two begin to walk deeper into the abyss of nothingness.
They wander through the eternal abyss, and just as Riku began to muse that they would be stuck there, the two find a portal which led them to a dark beach under a pale moon. Leading Riku to sit at the shoreline, the two friends discussed their adventures and friendship, with a conclusion that they were both content with being who they were because each had something the other could never have (The other as a friend). After some discussion on their goals as they had set them and their conclusion that they did what they set out to do, they agreed on one decision.
"If worlds are made of light and darkness, we'll be the darkness."
Since the Realm of Light was basically safe, they felt they could then sit and let peace envelop them on that mysterious shore. As they listened to the waves come and go, a bottle containing a letter (The one Kairi had written to “That Boy” before she was abducted) washed onto the shore. Riku picked it up as it washed against his foot, and, after reading it, handed it to Sora, believing him to be the proper recipient. Sora read the letter:
And, after reading it, a strange light enveloped the area followed by a doorway (of sorts) opening, revealing the source of the light. Immediately Sora stood and, reaching his hand out to Riku, told him that they would both go together. The weary warriors entered the doorway and found themselves plummeting into the ocean of their home, Destiny Islands. Since he had brought Riku back home and reunited with all his friends, in one piece, Sora returned Kairi's Lucky Charm to her, stating that they were back, only to have Kairi correct him.
"You're home.”
Sora would later reminisce by walking around the island, looking at all the places he and his friends had good times, and recalling all of his memories. At one point he entered the Secret Place. He smiled as he looked at all the pictures he, Riku, and Kairi had drawn over the years. Glancing down at the picture of Kairi and himself, he noticed that Kairi had drawn the other half of the Paopu Fruit since last time he was there, bringing a smile to his face, and a tear to his eyes. Later, while sitting on that same Paopu tree, Sora asked Riku about that door to the light, and what he figured it to be. Riku chuckled before suggesting that it was Sora's heart.
"It's always closer than you think.”
The next year was rather quiet for Sora and his friends. He found himself readjusting to his life, and getting used to it returning to its pedestrian speed. There were no Heartless, no Nobodies, no megalomaniacs or other delusional people attempting to take control of the worlds (or destroy them). For a while Sora was surprised to say that he was missing the action, being somewhat bored by the calm that had followed the storm. After a short breather, Sora decided that he would need to keep his skills sharp, and thus would continue to use his keyblade in much the same way he had used his wooden sword when he was younger. He would spar with Riku on many occasions, even just practicing against trees and rocks on the more vacant side of their island. It seemed to fit well into his everyday life, filling in that hole left by the departure of that childish sparring. With that new hobby (if it could be called that) Sora became content with the direction his life was taking. Like a soldier back from war, the readjustment was slow at first, but within a few months Sora truly felt at home once again, and his nerves had been calmed, allowing him to sleep soundly at night, and break his habit of looking over his shoulder.
A year would pass before Sora (and Riku) could really meld back into their society. The hype of their miraculous endeavors slowly dying away, their neighbors and friends grew accustomed to the status these two young men carried. Sora would return to school, along with Riku and Kairi, and his life would become that of a regular teenager…at least for a little while. A little more than two years after their unexpected arrival home, Sora would discover something that greatly worried him. While he was walking along the warm sands of his home he noticed something buried in the sand in front of him. Seeing only a corner of it, Sora walked over and pulled a piece of weathered paper from the sand. Dusting it off, he could barely make out the words written on it, as they had faded quite a bit.
A Keyblade? Where could this page have come from? From who? It spoke of a keyblade, but one that seemed to be, well, evil. This was troublesome to say the least. Just as he was beginning to think that it was all over, he was discovering then and there that some new threat must have been on the horizon. Sora carried the letter with him for a few weeks, not quite sure what to make of it. Maybe the obvious threat this page spoke of was long since destroyed? Or maybe it was simply a page from a story written long ago, with no substance to it? Sora mulled over these different possibilities in his head for a time, also questioning whether or not to tell Riku and Kairi what he had found. After he had spent a few weeks considering the issue, he decided that this was something he needed to pursue, but he did not think he needed to drag Riku or Kairi into it, at least not at that point. He figured that once he knew for sure that the threat was real, and substantial, he would then alert his friends to the danger of the situation. Sora couldn’t help but feel uneasy as he prepared to depart from his home once again. Leaving a simple note behind, explaining that he was taking a trip and would be back soon, Sora took his leave.
Sora’s “trip” would take him from world to world, beginning with the knowledgeable wizard, Merlin, living in Radiant Garden. None seemed to know where this mysterious page could have come from, and even Merlin was vexed. Though, Merlin was able to confirm Sora’s uneasy feelings, admitting that he too had sensed something odd in the Universe of late. Deciding at that point to take things as seriously as he could, he spent the next few months on several worlds he thought might house some answers, and visited a few old, wise friends along the way. Sora had made a stop at Yen Sid’s Tower at one point, but as his luck would have it, the great sorcerer was not around at the time. Sora’s investigation did not turn up much, though he noticed that there was a slowly-increasing dark presence in the worlds; some of his friends informing him that the very small number of Heartless had been steadily increasing on some worlds. Now into his third year since the defeat of Xemnas and the Organization, Sora knew there was yet one more person he needed to pay a visit to. And this person was none other than a fellow Keyblade Wielder, and King of Disney Castle: Mickey Mouse.

Physique
Sora still possesses that rather lanky body build, though time has given him some height to go along with it. For most it is not very difficult to identify the Keyblade wielder, as his facial features have remained very much the same, save for some more defining, which was only to be expected with age. Sora has acquired some muscle tone over the years, spawning from his sparring matches and other odds and ends of training or practicing, however he still remains on the skinnier side of the divide. As a stylistic decision, Sora, around his seventeenth birthday, decided it would be better for his hair to be a little shorter. Thus he adapted a “smaller” version of his teenaged spikes, also making his hair quite a bit more manageable than before. He was thankful that he lost most of his childish facial features, though he probably wouldn’t have minded leaving those behind sooner than he did. His skin tone remains much the same, though he acquired more a tan, thanks in part to his rather active lifestyle once returning to the islands. His eyes remained that same oceanic-blue hue as he had his entire life, being no less captivating than before.
Apparel
Sora’s new attire drew similarities from his teenage threads (Kingdom Hearts II). In the first layer of clothing, Sora sports what seems like a pseudo-black (more dark blue), zipper-clad shirt, its long sleeves stylistically folded up to hang just below his elbows, the zipper done up completely. Over the lower half of his body Sora wears a pair of navy blue pants, simplistic in nature, but covered by a pair of pants designed to be cut out of the inner thigh and up to the belt, making that portion of his pants visible to bystanders. Holding his pants at his waist is a simple red belt with a metallic clip. Situated just below his belt are a set of yellow straps, assisting in holding the two pouches on his backside in their place (as opposed to being stitched into place). The outer pair itself has a set of pouches, one on each leg, imbedded in the outer half of the pant leg, at just about knee-height.
Sora turned in his rather oversized shoes for a pair of more “appropriately-sized” shoes, similar in color scheme to his old pair. The toe of each shoe is a metallic-white color, the piece which wraps around the arch of his foot colored yellow along with a set of metal clips (one on each side of the foot) also colored yellow. The heel of the shoe is dyed black, along with the back portion of the sole of the shoe, he remainder of the sole colored white. Running up the top of the shoe, positioned in the center of each is a rather large zipper, which most assume is how the shoes are to be removed. This would be a most accurate assumption. The zipper zips up from toe to ankle, and sits at the top of the shoe, hidden by his pants.

Personality:
Now a legal adult, and far more mature (one can only hope) than he once was, Sora has come into his own after settling back into his life on Destiny Islands. Once an innocent, energetic optimist, full of curiosity and unabridged joy, he has found that over the years he has begun to mellow out…a little. Granted, he still is on the “immature” side of the divide, he has grown out of some of his quirks of childhood. Though it was difficult at first, Sora has found that he has finally been able to leave the category of naïve (mostly) behind him; having become more observant and aware. He has also learned to be aware of the customs of other worlds and people, thus avoiding any unintended disrespect with a lack of a bow or other such formal act. Still a tad mischievous, he hasn’t quite given up on jokes and the occasional prank, though he has learned to choose his victims carefully. He will still be quite lighthearted compared to most, but he has learned to understand when a serious demeanor is necessary. (Or, rather, he has come to find it easier to spot these situations sooner rather than later).
With age generally comes wisdom, and Sora is no exception here. He has become more level-headed over the years, gaining wisdom with each passing year. Though he can be called “wiser” than his younger self on many accounts, that is not to say that he fully lost touch with his bull-headed (and sometimes rash) persona. Sora found, as many did, a greater sense of understanding with age. He learned to be a tad more analytical and open-minded in general, allowing him to increase his understanding of, well…life (in general). His increased wisdom and understanding also spread beyond his everyday life, even into his combat style (and abilities). He found a greater patience with a weapon, and with that, greater skill and a better understanding of the importance of being aware of one’s surroundings. Though he still fights rather head-on and direct, he has learned the invaluable skills of improvisation and awareness. Along with that also came a more analytical approach as well, learning not to overlook the details in any situation.
Sora is still a very friendly individual, even with complete strangers, but he has acquired a sense of suspicion and care when dealing with a new and unknown person. He does not simply put on a happy face for show, but he does tend to be more careful when interacting (or dealing) with someone new. His competitive spirit has by no means dwindled, though it could be said that the flame of competition has come under his control (finally). He can still be as eager as ever to take on a challenge, but he has become better at not allowing it to blind him (though it can still be done). His emotions are pretty free, and thus it isn’t very difficult to read him; but it would appear that they are indeed tempered (generally speaking) as he does a good job at keeping his composure, usually. Though it is not an overwhelmingly obvious character flaw, Sora has found that he can, on occasion, be a bit of a showboat. If he finds something to be simple, or easy, he will let everyone know. He has done his best to control these outbursts, as he understands that they can be a nuisance to whoever is listening, but this is not something he has fully gotten a grasp on yet.
Though he is no longer embarrassed by shows of affection (whether directed at him or not) Sora still has a bit of a sore spot when it comes to “love and relationships.” Some might say that he and Kairi are essentially together, and others simply that they seem to have a mutual affection; but if one were to ask Sora, he would most likely become rosy in the cheeks, and stutter through a comment which would deny any sort of real relationship between the two. Now, it may be difficult for some to figure out if he means what he says, or if he is simply trying to cover things up; but it is even more difficult for Sora to decide of that himself. Though his intelligence and wisdom have increased, he still finds the female mind to elude him. His understanding of much of the “female language” is minimal at best, and this does nothing but complicate his already completely confused mind. He is truly unsure of his relationship with his longtime crush, having their moments, and yet just the same, not. It drives him crazy often when he tries to think about it, and thus he tries not to mull over it too much, choosing to let things remain as they stand, convincing himself that it is perfectly fine as it is. He does his best to avoid this subject because of his own mixed feelings. The only thing he knows beyond a shadow of a doubt, is that they are friends, and he has hopes of more.

Weapon:
Magic Powers:
Spells:
* Fire (Level 1)
When a spell of fire is cast, the tip of the Keyblade is aimed at the desired target, and released from it is a searing sphere of inferno, shot much like a bullet, at high speeds. At its initial strength, the sphere is no larger than the circumference of one’s hand; but as its level is increased, so too does the size, speed (and temperature) increase. Also at a higher level, the sphere can become a sort of “homing attack,” honing in on a target. The spell’s homing ability becomes more accurate (movements more precise) as it is refined.
* Blizzard (Level 1)
Casting a blizzard spell forces a stream of subzero energy from the tip of the Keyblade, able to freeze most things on contact, or inflict frozen pain on the target, even if the blast does not freeze. As the level of the spell in raised, the stream increases in overall size (larger beam) and the stream increases in duration; not to mention an increase in freezing potential. An increase in the number of streams can also come about. As the spell’s duration lengthens (higher levels) it can be used much like a whip.
* Thunder (Level 1)
Thunder spells, when cast, bring forth a rain of electrical bolts from the sky. The bolts can be called to particular spots, or simply create and ring (pulsating outwards) from the user. If used in the prior manner, the number of strikes is fewer than if used in the latter. An increase in the spell’s ability causes an increase in the area which the spell can cover, as well as the strength and duration of the strikes. As it is refined it can also increase in the accuracy of the spell (when not used as a pulse around the caster).
* Aero (Level 1)
An aero spell is a more defensive spell, but can be used offensively as well. When cast, the spell forms a sphere of impenetrable wind which lasts for about a minute on initial strength and protects against any physical attacks; however, does not defend against spells or other magic/spell-based attacks. The sphere is formed from the center of the Keyblade, and grows outwards. If used properly, the spell can be used to repel incoming attackers, pushing them away. With an increase in level comes an increase in the duration of the spell, as well as the ability to cast the spell in defense of an ally (not available at level 1).
Abilities:
* Ragnarok (Level 1)
Ragnarok as an ability pertains to a string of moves followed up by a release of light-based energy projectiles, released from the tip of the Keyblade. The Keyblade takes on a bright glow, becoming enveloped in light energy. Strikes are increased in strength (against foes of a dark-affiliation) and speed. After the set time frame reaches its climax, The energy will begin to collect at the tip, leaving the blade, it is at this time that the blade must be aimed, as the energy is released whether the user is prepared for it or not. The projectiles possess homing capabilities, increased as the ability is refined. When presented with a target that is connected to the darkness, the projectiles become more precise in their movements and speed, increasing the chance that they will make contact. As the level is increased, there is increase in duration of the light-strengthened strikes, and an increase in the number of projectiles launched at the finish of the attack. This ability takes some time to form (the energy taking time to form over the blade) and thus cannot be used in close-combat without some distance between user and enemy.
* Sonic Blade (Level 1)
The ability, when used, gives a momentary boost in speed, and acts much like a homing attack. Resonating from the Keyblade, the attack gives life (so to speak) to the Keyblade, causing it to take off, much like a rocket, in the direction it is pointed at the time of use. However, if not aimed at a target, it can begin to maneuver towards a target, if the ability has been practiced enough (high enough level). With the blade leading, the move takes the user through the target, multiple times. As the user becomes well-accustomed to the speed and use of the ability, they can take control of the blade, and use it to deal a heavy, slashing blow as they pass by (Not a level 1 “talent”). Initially the ability will only last long enough to bring about three passing blows, however with the increase in the ability’s performance (level) there is an increase in duration, speed, and preciseness of movements. This move requires a refractory period to follow use, preventing successive attempts at use.
* Strike Raid (Level 1)
Strike Raid is an ability which comes from the synchronization and connection of wielder to Keyblade. This ability is a technique in which the user throws his blade at a target. It spins rapidly as it travels, and ricochets off any object it touches, including its target. The blade can ricochet off objects a few times before returning, much like a boomerang, to its owner. Once the blade makes contact with its target, it will automatically return (to sender). Higher levels allow for the blade to focus on a target, and find itself ricocheting towards a target, though not able to hover or completely change directions. Since the technique requires a true connection with the blade in order to get it to return, the other aspects of the technique (homing, etc), take even more practice (higher levels). Also with higher levels comes an infusion of light energy which increases the blade’s damage, as well as basic strength, speed, accuracy (less chance of hitting wrong target), and duration increase as well.
* Explosion (Level 1)
This ability is rooted in magic, though it has been considered an ability. This is due to the fact that the activation of this magical-ability is based on a physical attack, coming as a ‘finishing move” to any set style of attacks. Explosion released a pulsating blast from the Keyblade, which can be done in contact with the ground, a wall, or simply in thin air (after making contact with an enemy). As the pulse moves outward from the point of contact, it will explode upwards (and downwards in the case of happening in mid-air from contact with an enemy) from spheres of energy which collect along the semi-circular pulse (half-ring of energy, basically). (This idea of a half-circle is to prevent the attack from pulsating backwards and coming into contact with the ability’s user, which would be bad.) The strength of the blast as well as the distanced covered, and height of the explosions is increased each level. Since it is a magic-based attack, this ability takes concentration, and does not simply happen subconsciously each time the wielder strikes (though they could eventually reach a point where they could utilize it after each strike, consciously of course).

Home World:
“Thinking of you wherever you are.
We pray for our sorrows to end,
And hope that our hearts will blend.
Now I will step forward to realize this wish.
And who knows?
Starting a new journey may not be so hard,
Or maybe it has already begun.
There are many worlds out there,
But they share the same sky,
One Sky,
One destiny.
- Kairi."
We pray for our sorrows to end,
And hope that our hearts will blend.
Now I will step forward to realize this wish.
And who knows?
Starting a new journey may not be so hard,
Or maybe it has already begun.
There are many worlds out there,
But they share the same sky,
One Sky,
One destiny.
- Kairi."

Something.... strange.... happened...
This.... .... this 'emotion'.... it seems to of blessed me with something....
A strange key. Not just any little key, but a key that seems to be a blade as well. I was so angry.... the things that man was saying about me.... about my son.... I wanted him.... I wanted him to suffer the way my son did. So he would understand my pain. And then this... 'keyblade' appeared.... and I let that man suffer. I thought I would feel some type of remorse because of my actions.... but instead.... I felt.... pleasure....
